The Wanderer has been on the road longer than the party's characters have been alive, and they are not finished yet. A mysterious traveler built for wandering encounter arcs, old lore storylines, and campaigns where the stranger at the crossroads knows considerably more than any stranger should. Use them as the NPC who appears at key moments with exactly the right information, a player character whose backstory is the accumulated weight of too many roads, or the encounter that tells the party the problem they are walking into has happened before.
