Amid the jagged summit of Blackspire Peak, the winds carry ash instead of snow and the sun’s light seems drained of warmth. Once a proud volcanic fortress of the Old Mage‑Kings, its towers now lie twisted and black, the spiral of stone stained by ancient sorceries.

In the depths beneath the summit, an unnatural flame pulses — a seed of ruin planted centuries past, now awakening in the darkness. The land below trembles, forests darken, and creatures born of shadow and ember crawl forth to reclaim what was lost.

You have been drawn by word of strange halls re‑echoing with ghost‑fire, of nobles disappearing into the hollow spires, and of a power rising that would engulf all in flame. On the threshold of the black peak you must ask: When the spire turns to ash, who will stand in the embers?
