It is not cast by anything. The Shadow is D&D's classic CR 1/2 undead — a darkness creature whose Strength drain ability makes it disproportionately dangerous for its CR and whose ability to create more shadows from the party's fallen allies escalates encounters in ways low-level parties do not expect. Use it in haunted dungeons, as the encounter that teaches new parties about non-combat damage types, or in multiples as the thing that made the dungeon's previous inhabitants into more shadows. Pre-supported 32mm STL for resin printing. FDM-compatible file included.

In the dark forests around Rivenwood, the ancient Drows, dark elves of legend, have returned, capturing villagers for a sinister ritual. One night, they descend on the village, dragging victims to a forest clearing where their leader awaits. Under a dark sky, a monstrous figure—a woman combined with a spider—emerges from a chasm. The Broodmother, filled with malevolent glee, accepts the sacrifices as the Drows chant in her honor.
Amidst the chaos, one villager escapes into the forest, only to be found by a Drow warrior who offers aid instead of harm. Together with his companions, he vows to end the Broodmother's reign of terror and save the remaining villagers. The fate of Rivenwood hangs in the balance.
