A dark scholar built for forbidden knowledge arcs, Lovecraftian horror campaigns, and the kind of NPC whose research has become the thing the party was sent to stop. Use him as a wizard whose academic curiosity has crossed into dangerous territory, the contact who knows too much about the entity the party is investigating, or the player character who decided knowledge was worth any cost and is now finding out.
